“This project was born out of my own journey with female rage and the healing power of vulnerability…it’s about embracing the parts of ourselves that are often dismissed or misunderstood and using that energy to foster empowerment and connection.” - Mayatu Nova, Grit creator.
Grit was created in collaboration with Black Ink, Absurda Space, Third Space Brisbane and Refuge Meanjin. With support from Flaming Carnations and the Lord Mayor’s Community Fund.
